The first ever luxury sleeper train in England and Wales, the Britannic Explorer, A Belmond Train, United Kingdom offers a modern celebration of the tradition of touring. The luxury train preserves Britain’s pioneering railway history while ushering in a new era of culture and creativity. Guests can choose from a range of three- and six-night journeys to discover – or see through new eyes – intriguing villages, historic cities and awe-inspiring countryside, admiring the landscapes from their private suite. From the rolling hills of the Welsh valleys to the sparkling blue waters of Cornwall and the jagged mountains of the Lake District, each journey celebrates all that is intriguing, quirky and quintessential about Britain. Curated daytime activities embrace sculpture gardens, art-filled towns and dramatic, open countryside. Momentous evenings might include dinner in a fabled setting or a private Cotswolds party.

On board, the interiors brim with unapologetic British flair and craftsmanship. Grand Suites, Double Suites and Twin Suites offer plush beds, original artwork, and colour schemes reflecting the verdant landscapes outside. Guests of the spacious Grand Suites enjoy a personal butler service, in-cabin private dining on request and a host of VIP perks.

The dining cars are inspired by British botanicals and wildflowers. Visionary farm-to-fork Chef Simon Rogan, whose restaurants worldwide collectively hold eight Michelin stars, has masterminded the menus. Nights of revelry can be enjoyed in the Observation Car, where the Bar, a stylish hangout of ochre banquettes and amber glassware, serves artisan gins and innovative cocktails. Completing the indulgence is the Wellness Suite, a cocooning space for reviving and restorative treatments. The Britannic Explorer takes to the rails in July 2025.
